Upon his graduation, he joined the United States Navy where he completed his General Practice Residency program at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California, and served in Saudi Arabia during the first Gulf War. In addition to his wartime service, he traveled to Senegal in Africa on a humanitarian mission to provide desperately-needed medical and dental care to under-served villages.

Currently, he is a Fellow in the Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry.
